WEYU is officially one year old! Thanks to an incredible team and dedicated community, we have managed to navigate the first 365 days, celebrating our anniversary on the 31st of August 2022. Filled with plenty of memorable moments, emotions, learnings and a fresh bout of energy for what lies ahead, year one has seen us get closer to our goal of becoming a user-friendly NFT platform designed for web3 adoption. With all that WEYU has built over the past 12 months, it feels as if we have been in business for over a decade. - Whitepaper and Roadmap Creation
The WEYU journey began with a vision to help alleviate the existing problems in the NFT and Web3 industry by building a multi-chain NFT platform designed to promote the adoption of the space through easy-to-use products.

During the construction of our whitepaper WEYU put together an international team of experienced Web3 enthusiasts with a strong and diverse technical background. . WEYU.io Website Launch
Over the past 12 months, our website has been continuously in development, shaping it towards what our community wants. Currently, our website is focused on our NFT minting and creation platform, which can be found here:
- WEYU Token Launch
At the start of September 2021, WEYU launched its token sale — a key milestone in our journey. Alongside these hugely positive numbers, it was equally as amazing to watch the incredibly complex token contract work its magic. Learn more about this important stage for WEYU here:

-WEYU Pieces x UNHCR
Partnering with the UN and the UNHCR, we launched our first NFT collection. This was also the world’s first crowdsourced art project on the blockchain titled — WEYU Pieces. Working alongside refugees from around the world, the projects harnessed the power of blockchain and NFTs to raise funds for the UNHCR, showing the power of technology on social-impact initiatives. - WEYU Earn Platform
In December of last year, we built WEYU Earn — the first NFT community builder designed to help new and existing NFT projects gain social media engagement and traction. Discover more about the platform here:

- WEYU x Chainlink
Partnering with Chainlink came through the integration of Chainlink VRF, helping to bring greater security and fair distribution of NFTs into the WEYU ecosystem. Read more here:

- New WEYU Roadmap for 2022

- NFT Marketplace Released
At the start of Spring, while continuously expanding our team, we unveiled one of our most exciting projects yet — the WEYU NFT Marketplace. Initially kicking off on the Solana blockchain, the marketplace expanded towards a truly multi-chain platform with the integration of Zilliqa and Ethereum. In the first month, over 120,000 NFTs were listed for sale on the marketplace. Learn more here:

- Blockdown Festival Croatia

- WEYU Ambassador Program
As our network in Web3 continues to grow, we decided that it would be a good idea to establish an Ambassador program where individuals can connect and share knowledge about the space. - WEYU x Nosana
At the very start of June 2022, WEYU partnered with Nosana — a next-generation crowd-computing platform. The partnership was ignited to help power the soon-to-arrive WEYU World. Learn more about the partnership here:

- Solana Token Bridge
WEYU partnered with Solana-funded powerhouse Portal to allow WEYU to bridge its Binance Smart Chain (BSC) token with the Solana blockchain. This move enables projects and their user’s near-limitless possibilities in staking Defi and NFTs. Read more here:

- Staking / Rewards Program

Met Amsterdam, Ape Fest & NFT NYC
In the space of a week, the WEYU team went from Amsterdam to New York to participate and speak at Met Amsterdam, NFT NYC and Ape Fest. Yes, we do hold a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT, which we call WEKONG. At Met Amsterdam, WEYU COO Caroline Johnova spoke on a panel about opportunities created by the Web3 revolution. WEYU x Zilliqa partnership & NFT generator platform.
At the Metaverse Summit in Paris, WEYU announced its partnership with Zilliqa, while also unveiling its powerful new NFT generator platform. Partnering with Zilliqa is a strategic move towards empowering web3 creators as we look to establish a new creator economy within WEYU World. By creating an advanced NFT generating tool, WEYU will generate a substantial increase in the number of creators entering the Zilliqa platform and the blockchain space as a whole.
